Artists inspiring the nation!

You never know how inspiring your work may be.
From time-to-time I receive contact from people throughout the community complementing our exhibits.  Tisha's work at Zenas has been given many lovely comments just this week. Gretchen's work at Tutti-Frutti receives consistent praise, as well.
However, last week an employee from the Lexington Administration building had the highest praise. He said that since our installation in July of 2011 he was inspired to begin painting. The latest works installed in January further added to his joy in workplace.
Even though it would be wonderful to have more sales, I found his praise and adoration of our work worth more. Regardless of your ambition with your art, to hear the joy your work provides another person truly is priceless.  Kudos to you all for your talent!
Visit our many exhibits, and become inspired!

Artist doing other things...

Very few artists have ever been able to balance life & art with complete ease.

The myth of the artist who swims all day in a sea of painting, drinking absinthe and huffing glue which results in large scale works of art that are sold before the paint dries, is consistently perpetuated by society.  Not simply American society but in every productive culture in which artists sell their work.

Artists are not one-dimensional creatures. We have many skills, and work hard to maintain our incessant hunger for paints, canvas, and other tools in which to perfect our creations. Artists are so diverse with multiple talents it is a shame to focus on one.

We, the South Carolina Artists group, see artists as more than simplistic one-dimensional creators and choose to share their talents with you!
